THE WINERY :
As an historical actor in the appellation, the Saint Chinian Winery has been  since 1937 a notable representative of the local wine production.
Wine Cooperatives are indissociable landmarks of the South of France wine history. Created in the first half of the last century, these buildings of strong character still hold on thanks to the perseverance of their members.
Since the transition to PDO in 1982, the unique terroirs of that territory charms consumer’s taste buds. With consumption pattern turned toward the desire to consume better and nicer, the winery has only produced wine conditioned and bottled since the 2000’s and is committed to always innovate to sell its wine on the world markets.
Award winning wines, ISO standard, transition in HEV (High Environmental Value), are the reflect of the work performed.
Now, the structure regroups 100 adherents for 650 hectares of vineyard, which put the winery at the forefront among producer of the appellation.
The Saint Chinian Winery stands out by its particularity of associating wine and artistical creation as demonstrated by the “Art en Cave” concept, started in 2013.

The winery and the communication agency Karactère in Narbonne and Montpellier have joined forces in the establishment of that event: a unique and remarkable concept associating the work of a contemporary artist and an exceptional vintage.

Throughout the year, the curious wine and art enthusiast can visit the winery and discover the murals. Through this initiative that grows from year to year, the Saint Chinian Winery aims to create an unique place of art, that reinvents the wine industry and enchants the workplace. A place where wine colors mix with those of the murals.

2020 cames to mark a turning point in that history with the construction of the new reception area, more morern, permitting to welcome warmly taste and visual arts lovers.
Despite the economical and sanitary context, producers believe in the future of their profession and in this old lady who will celebrate in 2022 its 85 years.
