Domaine de la Font des Ormes

Le Château La Font des Ormes is a property on 25ha in Caux in the Hérault.
We have been certified as organic since 2016 and as biodynamic par Demeter since 2018. We use traditional Languedoc grape varieties. Our terroir has the particuliarity of being pure basalt, as we are situated on the lava flow of an ancient volcano.


This rare mixture of basalt and Miocene limestone confers freshness, minerality and fine tanins on our wines.
Our range includes a white wine, which is 100% Terret Bourret one of the oldest Languedoc grape varieties. The vines are over 80 years old and produce a wine that is fresh, with aromas of citrus fruit, verbena and eucalyptus and a full and rounded mouth feel.
Our red wines include an IGP Pays de Caux, whose main component is Marselan, an "easy-drinking" wine, and two AOP Languedoc-Pézenas wines: "Terres Melées" and "Basalte", which differ by the expression of their terroirs.


The Château La Font des Ormes is known for the quality of its wines in professional circles, via its medals and awards in specialized magazines and guides. We also obtained the "prix d'excellence" in the 2018 Concours Général Agricole for our wines over the last 3 years.
